Slot limit passes on Norris

Effective March of 2010 Norris lake will now have a new slot limit on SM. From what I understand the slot is 17 - 22 with the limit being one over and one under.

Slot limit on Largemouth passed at Cordell Hull also...

I understand their intent but there are never any people fishing on Cordell Hull. I can't imagine enough people keep enough bass in the slot to affect recruitment. I think it's just a big ol experiment and will be removed after about 10 years. The majority of bass fishermen fish mainly for the fight and practice catch and release and lets face it generally the people that keep bass to eat aren't "usually" efficient enough to catch that many bigguns.

I really like Cordell Hull it's a peaceful place to fish and at times is good. I like the fact that you can fish all day on a Saturday in July and see maybe 3 other boats. So if it turns into a better fishery b/c of the new regs then I'm cool with it... But on the flip side me and my fishing partner were talking the last time we were up there about how one day it won't be peaceful no more and we won't have it all to ourselves.
