Water Pressure Gauge 96 Johnson Fast strike

Have a 1996 Johnson Fast Strike 150 H.P. My water pressure gauge has stopped working. The water pump was replaced this winter and it has worked after having tat done. I have taken the hose off at the gauge and cannot blow thru it and no water comes out even when running. I have a strong stream at back of motor. Wher do I look for a blockage or other problem. thanks in advance.

Sounds like the pickup on the front of the L/u is clogged. Try turning a 9/64 drill by hand in the ss hole at the front of the l/u to dig it out.

Have you taken the hose off the motor as well and tried to blow air through it? You may have a pinch in the line or a hole in it. You may need to pull a new section of hose to remedy the situation. Hook up a short piece of hose to the gauge and re-apply the air to see if the gauge moves.

Welcome to the club, I made that same mistake about a year ago. I just laughed it off and had a red face for about six months, but I got over it. :)
