yough lake

Up for the weekend. Really struggling catching fish. Anybody have any tips? Either reply here txt or email. Id greatly appreciate any help

Yough lake is a half decent lake. I have not been there lately but normally fall fishing is excellent. There are lots of 2-3 lb smallmouth in there. But an occasional big largemouth shows up as well. Try throwing a crankbait, jerkbait or tube. Target isolated chunk rock points and flats. Just be carefull up there this time of the year. Exspecially on the Maryland end of the lake.

Can anyone tell me if the Route 40 ramp is still open??? or do i have to use the ramp at the dam???

Was at the lake Sunday. It was really tough fishing, but the pike were hungy. lol They are starting to drop the water a little bit. But it is still almost at full pool. Route 40 ramp is open.

That's good to hear. usually by this time of the year, all the ramps are closed!

Talk to a guy that his knows someone thats a Ranger at yough. I guess as long as the waters up there going to keep it open. Usually they have been closing around the First of Nov. I hope they keep it open till Dec.

Water temp was 64 in the main Lake. Sorry for the delay. Just seen this post now.

needs to get in the upper 50's for it really to turn on...plus the water needs to drop ALOT!!
