Put the order in gettin a 2010 225HO

Finally got the approval from the other half and ordered a 2010 225HO!!
Now for the questions and suggestions from yall. Will the motor come setup from BRP for xd100 or is it one of the ones that comes set up for xd50? I will be using xd100, should I have it programed for xd50?
I have a water pressure guage I am going to keep and I also have a temp guage is the temp guage really needed?
Is the alarm horn still in the control box or is it part of the systems check guage or is it a "stand alone" horn?


I am putting this beast on my 86 Chechkame Enchanter to replace a 1990 XP-200 and am currently running right at 70mph can I expect a better top speed?

I am sure Im gonna have alot more questions so please bear with me!!

It will come programmed for XD50, but run the XD100 like you plan. I would have all the gauges you can if your old ones will work with the Etec. Mike

Does anyone know if my temp guage will work with the e-tech? It is a OMC heat guage and used to tie into the wire that went to my heat sensor in the head.

I would recommend networking your new ETEC to a NMEA 2000 compatible sonar/gps. That way you can display much more of the engine telemetry than just the temperature.

I know this didn't answer your question, but it's just a suggestion.

Miguel, I would love to put in the networked stuff but after putting so may $$$ into the motor they are going to have to wait right now. I have the water press guage and temp guage I just was wondering if there was a place to tie in the temp guage into the wiring without having to add something extra into the block or heads.
