Played hooky from work. Friend of mine wanted to go fish Lake Burton. Georgous lake, nobody on it. That is the clearest water I have ever seen. With the sun out I'm estimating that you could see down 10..12 feet. 60 degree water. Post cold front and windy.
Didn't catch $hixt. Found a school of about 5 or 6 spotted bass (yes, you could see them that clearly) in a sunny spot in about 3 feet of water. Looked like they might have been 2lbs each. They were just swimming along in lazy circles staying in that patch of sun on the water.
We threw everything in the book at them. I dragged jigs, spinnerbaits, worms, dropshot minnows right in front of their noses. They wouldn't touch anything.
'Sup wid dat??
