Guys:

Been fighting electrical issues since spring. Replaced my cranking battery after weak starting issues last may while down ay KY lake - thanx to Rodney for Jett-A getting me back on the water - ran great for about a month - back to dead cranking battery issues sporadically throughtout a tourney day - but not every time. Water levels were all good in the new battery, and charger checked out to 12 V. Mentioned it to the dealer when in for a Lower unit replacement(oops). BRP told them not to replace the starter, but just buy a rebuild kit for the internal parts. I said ok - no prob. Well, lasted about a month and back to the same issues - had it rebuilt again in august - comes about a month - no starting. After it would not start a tthe ramp the last time, calmed down enough to take it to the local Evinrude reapir guy near the ramp. Rose Marine(Algonac Mi) - great guy. Diagnosed the starter selenoind and starter were oth bad. with another new battery - was back on the water - 3 hours later - had to jump it on the water to get home. Any ideas? dropped it back off, and they are thinking it goes back through the charging system as far back as the alt, voltage regulator, stator, and/or computer.

Now for my aggrevation beyond the obvious - warranty expired end of July. BRP says since the dealer opted to buy the rebuilt kit and not report it ass warranty - it is now my problem and they are not responsible. Not getting too far yet - but since I have pinnacle Extended warranty and the dealer metntioned this- they are trying to push it onto them . I don't get it - a 2005 motor should not have electrical probs at around 200 hours.

Any/all suggestions would be greatly appreciated since the smallies are biting and the frost on the pumpkin is about here.
