tracker pt195, tempest plus running flat..
150 4 stroke, boat empty just me and low fuel has churned out 64 mph @ 5800.
I carry alot of stuff. 15 rods, 30 lbs of plastics, my hook/weight box is 10#, ive upgraded to a 24v tmotor, so now a 3rd battery, and all other neccesarry items I keep in the boat adding another 50#. Still running solo I can run 60 at 5600, and decent bow lift. When I add the 2nd partner my rpms drop to 5400 and slows to 57 mph, at this pont the 24 tempest starts to run flat, not much lift.
I bought a new quicksilver torrent 23, no its not a tempest, but the local boat shop had it on the shelf for over a year and was cheap. (Brand new) so i ran it. Solo with medium load went 59 mph at 5900 rpm. With tx load and partner ran 5600 @ 55 with no lift. Humid conditions. Its not exactly a pad hull but does have offset transom. No JP and 4" ptp. Which prop should I send to mark and which to sell. Do I sell both and go with a 23 tro4? Maybe a bravo 1 24? The 24 tempest plus throws a tail right at the top of cowl and the 23 torrent about midway up cowl. The 23 is on the verge of blowing out on holeshot.

On a side not, the keep on the hull front to back ia pretty level running surface, so bow lift may not be the answer, im wandrr if the boat would benefit from alittle more stern lift. The boat is pretty heavy in the back. Fuel tank is all the way back so is the 3 batteries plus the 4 stroke weight. How would a trophy run?

Looks like the Torrent might need some work, it's basically a tempest but with a quicksilver label. I'd talk to Mark about working it to get the slip numbers down and it might be the better prop. I don't think stern lift will help since it will push the bow down more.

Sounds like the 24p Tempest Plus is off . Most is off new out of the box .I have one that been fixed by Mark C for sell , by the way .On the for sell board .
