Another Smartcraft Install question...
What adapter or part# do i need to go from a 10 pin blue data cable to a 14 pin level 2 merc monitor? The merc monitor is level 2 and part number#8M0079865.I have the 10 pin blue data cable but realized the gauge was 14 pin when i went to install it?
Anyone help me out?

Where did you buy it from? Surely they would've provided you with everything you need.

Do you have a junction box ?

thanks guys! This smartcraft stuff is a real PIA
I do not have a junction box. Do i need one? My new setup is a Level 2 monitor and 2 system link gauges, Speedometer and Tach.
On the back of the monitor is a 14 pin male connection. The harness that came with the gauge and is a 14 pin female connection off of it.Am i supposed to plug the 10 pin blue cable into a junction box first and then i need a cable to go to the gauge? Are all the new merc gauges 14 pin? Is their an adapter to go from the 10pin blue wire to the gauge?

There should be a harness for the monitor that plugs into the back, the other end is the one that connects to the harness. You need some sort of junction to connect blue harness to merc monitor harness(junction box). The system link gauges connect in a series. You should be able to hook the merc monitor harness to a nmea2k to allow for gps speed and data upload to fish finder .

I have a junction box under the dash. I think it has 4 plugs on the box. Blue cable plugs into it. I would ask don on the merc forums to be sure.

ok... yep! Thanks so much Kris_tx !With your help i figured this out and i really appreciate it !
I just need a Junction box or male to male adapter! For some reason i thought it was 14 pins on the gauge harness for both sides of the harness. Its not, its only 14 pins where it plugs into the gauge and the other side is 10.I just need to either get a junction box of male to male adapter to mate the two.
