    New bow graph cover plate

I upgraded my electronics from 5 series HB to 8 series and needed a cover for the hole in the bow panel. This is what I came up with. I added a cup holder and small tool holder. What do you guys think?

What material did you use for the plate? I need the same type piece for my console where the LMS 332 was that I have replaced. I ordered what I thought was the right piece from Skeeter. What I got was a new console piece with holes and trim rings for the gauges and the hole already cut out in the center for a LMS 332, basically what I already have so it didn't do me much good.

I used a plastic cutting board from Walmart. Its about 3/8" thick. After I cut it out I rolled the edges with a router. I was going to cover it with the 3M carbon fiber wrap but I decided to just leave it as is.

Looks great. Be careful. Once you start building you can't stop. BTW, the port side of your gimbal mount is a great place for a holder. A small cup holder for scent or something. Or a slot to hold a bag of plastics.
I experimented with cutting boards and they are easy to work with. You can cover with 3M carbon fiber vinyl or maybe PlastiDip.
I made mine from carbon fiber. In fact I made a whole new bow plate from carbon fiber and remounted the trim switch on the gimbal mount.
I got my CF pieces off of Ebay. They are relatively cheap if you buy the production scraps and rejects.

i came up with one for my seat pole but after fishing without pole i lost my tool holder so here i came up with one for same panel, its made out of 1/4" aluminum and is cut to same as factory plastic piece. I'm also installing a cup holder in mine also

Thanks guys . I know what you mean rick, it seems like I am always trying to come up with new ideas. Some work out and some don't. I am trying to come up with a console idea between the seats. I removed the center seat back but I haven't came up with anything I like yet. I remember seeing one on here that looked really nice but I cant remember who posted the pic. Bumble bee the panel you are making looks nice, post some pics when your done.
