    echoMAP 73sv

I just mounted a 73sv to the transom on a Stratos 186XT with the bottom of the transducer level with the bottom of the boat. It appears to be working as advertised, however it loses the bottom as the speed increases above 25 mph. I have about a half inch farther down that I can lower it. Does anyone know if this would help, or just put it in harm's way? I haven't changed any of the sensitivity settings from the factory defaults.

I would move it down, fine tuning a transducer is kinda like trying to adjust a jackplate. It can tak some time.

Thanks. Will try next time I put it in the water. There is definitely going to be a learning curve with this one.
