    05 20xrd with 04 200xs

Hello all, new guy here with a ??
I bought this bullet about a year ago and love this thing! Finally getting the hang of driving it (cautiously). So far, with just me, fishing load and full tank of gas, I've managed to get her up to 74 mph briefly. I'm running the torquemaster lower with a 27p bravo I xs prop and a 12 inch rapid jack. At this speed, I'm turning 6200 rpm. I was told that this motor is safe to turn up to 6750 rpm. So, to see a little more speed, do I need more positive trim (boat feels really light and squirrelly), a lower pitch prop, or a sportmaster lower ? I've raised the engine height til water psi dropped too low (5psi) then brought it backup 1/4 inch til psi is back at 20.

    Thanks in advance,

    Ken

A 20'er doesn't need a lot of trim to run... How high are you run in the mota now?

    Hello Crank,

Curently, its about 1/2 inch or so below pad. I raised jackplate til psi fell off then raised it back up one click until psi returned. Was this correct?

    Thanks

Does your lower have the four holes on the front of the nose? Hard to tell but if so, it doesn't look like you have plugged your side intake holes which can be done to raise the motor higher and have water PSI.

Sounds like you need to balance out the boat if its getting out of hand at 6200.

I thought the rev limiter on a 200xs was like 6250? I did not think they were 6750 like the Pm's??
