Which affordable rods are not made in China?

I stopped in at Bass pro and all the affordable rods and rod/reel combos (ie less than $100) seemed to be made in china.

Are there any affordable north american (not mexico) rods and rod/reel combos worth looking at?

Lews American Hero Rod Line are nice and only 70 bucks a piece. They also give 1 dollar from each sale to various organizations such as Reel American Heroes and Wounded Warriors Foundation. Check them out!

    Falcon Rods. Made in USA.

As far as reels go.... GOOD LUCK. Lew's, Shimano, Daiwa, Quantum, Pflueger....the list goes on and on ALL made overseas. I think Ardent might still be American made but everything I have heard about Ardent reels is that they are junk. At least Lew's is an American company out of Springfield, MO.

My local Wal-Mart had some of the Falcon Jason Christie signature rods in stock between $62-95. The Falcon HD series is either made in China or made with Chinese blanks (not sure) though.

Are the 13 Fishing Omens made in America? They sell for around $100-130 also.

All Kistler rods are assembled in the USA. And all, except the entry level "pro series" of rods, use blanks built by North Forks Composits, Gary Loomis company.

I'm guessing you don't know anything about Kistler rods.

I'm regripping 5 Kistlers for a member here. As I was stripping the rear cork off, I could tell there was a decal, but it was always destroyed. Got to the last one and it remained on the rod, somewhat intact. It says Rainshadow XSB802.75 (import blank for those that don't know). On the rod, a decal says HANDCRAFTED in USA, not MADE in USA.....so, its just assembled here from ALL imported parts. Gonna snap a pic of it later for the nonbelievers.

    *edited to add pics.

I had been told by a dealer, but I don't know if it is true or not, that the RX8 and RX8+ blanks are made here in the US and rolled by a well known company. All the others are overseas. I've got the xsb802.75 and it is a very nice blank, and arguably one of the better shakey blanks. At one time, the Kistler Heliums were supposedly Rainshadow/Batson blanks. I am not sure what they are now, other than the z-bone which is a north fork composite blank. Unfortunately, keeping this information a secret is big because everyone wants people to think they have some super secret blank with secret material. Just all part of the illusion.

You're right on above, finding an all American made product is impossible. I'm not even for sure if any guides are completely made here.
