    Universal O2 Sensor

    O2 sensor fouled on my 2000 150 Vmax OX66.

    I'm wondering if anyone has looked into the NTK Universal O2 Sensor that splices onto the existing connectors. Some info here:

    I found one with the same number and color of wires. This sensor looks almost identical to my original. Refer to this link:

    I can't find the operating specs on the OEM NTK sensor or the universal version.

    Anyone have any insight on the above or should I just bite the bullet and spend $280 for the Yamaha sensor?

    The part Number most are getting is NTK # 21006. Napa autoparts here sell them for around $47.

    Concensus is the aftermarket won't last long. I tried and it lasted less than 50 hours. Bite the bullet and buy the OEM. Mine lasted almost 600 hours with annual cleaning.
