Drove back from the meeting last night. Please let me make a few points. First would be to get your club invoved in the KBFN decision making process by having a Rep at the business meetings. Any club or member can make points on message boards, email, over coffee etc. (and communication is good) but ultimately it is casting a vote that will keep traditions or institute change. Second is the tournament changes, I really, really, really dislike making changes to set schedules, but stuff happens. There are 30 adult and 6 youth clubs affiliated with KBFN. Now if each one holds 6 tournaments thats 216 weekends. Add the 9 KBFN dates and you get 225. I won't even try to figure in all the other circuits out there. There are 30 weekends from April to October. Subtacting Holidays leaves 25 weekends. Do the math and guess what, no matter what I did I was going to step on somebodies toes. I appologize, but do the math. Third let me go back to the KBFN meeting. We spent A LOT of time on the Mr. BASS and State Qualifier issue. It was one of the best meetings I have been to in the last 7 years in that members spoke well to the issues, at times it was evident that members were voicing deep seated beliefs, but at all times the members remained divil and professional. Thanks to the members who were there for a job well done. Finally look for PROPOSALS concerning the Mr. BASS and State Qualifier. Those should be coming to your Club presidents. Thanks Brad V.
