    Trim sending unit

    Evinrude Model: E175GLECD
My trim sending plastic arm (item 88) does not touch the motor when the motor is trimmed out fully. There is about 1/2" gap between the trim sending arm and the motor at full trim. It looks like there is suppose to be a part of some kind attached to the motor that this sending arm touches. If so, does anybody know what this part is called?

Because the sending arm is extended before the motor is completely trimmed out, the gauge shows full trim when I actually have 3/4" of the trim rod left to extend.

I have seen this with one of the CDI replacement sending units. On the CDI, the arm was a different size and at a different angle. Ended sending the CDI back and got the BRP sender.
