I caught a dozen bass this morning (3 hours). Nothing bigger than 2 lbs. The carp are still spawning which ruins a lot the shallow weed bite. The shad fry must be out and roaming because the smaller bass and wipers are busting in packs in open water. It won't be long till the topwater is on really well. Those shad just need to gain a little size to lure some nicer fish out to them.

On a sad note, there were 3 wakeboard boats, 2 ski boats, and 3 jet ski's on the lake by 0815 this morning. Those A$$holes are suppose to by hung over till at least 1000AM. Nothing quite like blasting rap music at 0800 to make fishing fun. NOT
