Paul and I were planning to go to Shell Knob on Friday. He had been sick for several days with a cold but we were hoping he would be over it before Friday. Well.....he called me Thursday afternoon and said he was still too sick to go... so I called Ken. I picked Ken, and his Ranger, up at 8:00am and we ran down to Shell Knob for a few hours. We tried the deep spoon bite for a while. We found a bunch of fish on the graph but couldn't get them to bite. So we started bass fishing and found several big fat Kentuckies and a handful of smallies that wanted to play. It was awesome.

This is Ken with a nice little "spot". He was throwing a little brown and yellow
Bandit crankbait.

Here's me with a real nice fat kentucky I caught on one of the little bomber
crankbaits Andy painted for me.

We really wanted to get in on the deep spoon bite for the big whites but it just
wasn't happening. I guess the water is still a little too warm. (54.7*) I'm taking some of my Sunday School buddies back down on Wednesday of this week.
I'll let ya'll know how it goes.
