I am trying to fish the Skinny Dipper but it keeps rolling over twisting my line. I have it pegged with a 1/16 once bullet on a 5/0 EWG hook. I am trying to fish it on top so do not want to add a weighted hook. Any suggestions?![]()

I fish Skinny Dipper a lot. Saw a tip a couple years back about adding a BB swivel with split rings to the hook. I use the Owner hooks with cork screw fastener (don't know the model). Only way I fish them these days. Reduces line twist, gives the bait a little more action, and the added weight on the nose makes it fall just right.

Owner Beast Swimbait Hooks, 1/8th ounce 4/0 size. IMO the best swimbait hook out there for big or small swimbaits.
I like to fish my dippers on a scrounger head.
Will this work? 1/16oz weighted hooks 4/0, 5/0, 6/0 and they are on sale as well.

Owner Beast is the way to go with a dipper. If you want a swimbait that won't roll on you fished high and fast try the Keitech Fat Swing Impact. These swimbaits are phenomenal.
I use the owner screw lock with 1/8oz. I think the model is a 5132. I can throw it a mile on braid and haven't had an issue with keeping it on the surface with braid.
