I have a '87 Mercury classic 50 and have always used an NGK BUHW-2 #5526, and it's not available anymore. I looked up cross references and found a couple, DENSO SF51 and Autolite 2892. What is everyone else using?

For future reference, I would strongly recommend you look up the plugs in the MERCURY Parts Catalog, and cross reference them to the latest plug in a MERCURY Part Number.
This will assist you with what spark plugs are considered the correct plug for your engine (and will help to steer you away from the car-o-lite and super-dense stuff).![]()
