My 22 Eyra has a 15 inch Hummingbird on the console with the transducer mounted on the jack plate. Even at low speeds it doesn’t read depth. Will the factory transducer in the bilge hook up and work at speed?

The transducer in the bilge (if you have one) should already be connected to your unit through a Y cable. Yes it should read. Maybe it has never been connected or maybe it is bad. Does SI and DI work appropriately?
I looked last night night and under the hoses it looks more like a cup with no wires going to it. I don't know why someone would have cut the cable going to it and don't see where it has been cut. Did BassCat install a cup or something to put a transducer in?
That should be a standard “puck” style transducer.
It's definitely a Lowrance style transducer down there. Either some one cut or just pulled out the wires out of it. My question is how hard is it to get the puck out or there seems enough room to just glue down another one beside it?
It shouldn’t be hard. Last one I did, I put the end of a 2x4 against it and gave it a firm tap with a hammer. Before you go back with one, you should prep that area. There is also a transducer epoxy that all the electronics mfgs use. West Marine has the Lowrance stuff in stock.
It definitely had a Lowrance style puck with no wires in it. Since I have a H-Bird on the console should I put a H-Bird style back or use the one like it came factory with?
Put a Humminbird one in
