    Daiwa Tatula SV - "103 vs 100"

So which reel is better for skipping docks....

    1. The previous generation Daiwa Tatula SV 103 or....
    2. The new Daiwa Tatula SV 100 that replaced the 103

The SV 100 is an advancement over the 103 in that it has aluminum side plates, better gears, the "boost spool", and it's a slightly smaller frame.

I have the 103 and the 100 and they have a very similar feel and behavior. They're interchangeable as far as I can tell.

I don’t have a 100, but I do have several 103’s. I also have a Limited Edition, which has aluminum side plates. The difference in feel to me is very noticeable, which is why I bought the LE. I imagine that the 100 should feel better than the 103 for that reason alone.
