    Trailering Making Noises

I have a friend that is pulling a Skeeter FX21 with a Jeep Cherokee.
When he hit a dip in the road it makes a huge bumping noise.
The brake fluid is tapped off and the surge brakes has been check out and cleared of the issue by a brake shop.
Has anyone else had this issue.

I would first check play in hitch! If this is culprit a cheap hitch tightener off of Amazon for few dollars will correct it!

Thanks, he thought about that so he purchase it and put it in place still making the noise.
To me it sounds like there were less hydraulic pressure with the surge brake and making the trailer slam into the hitch.

There should be a "Shock Absorber" in the tongue that may be worn.

there is a small shock absorber inside the tongue, it is designed to prevent the tongue from moving to fast in and out and to prevent the problem you are having, most likely it needs replacing.
