    Basscat delays?

Anyone else hearing from dealers about significant delays in production of new ordered boats from Basscat?

6-8 weeks is about average currently here at Texas Boat Works. Give me a shout if you need help with anything.

The range can extend a little longer than 8 weeks. It’s all mold turns and parts, or equipment challenges. If you order a Pantera II air will take less time than a Puma STS usually, and the Jaguar is all dependent on base equipment or opulence in the 500R.

What, thought a 500R was standard on a Jag?

I’m reviving this thread from January in hopes to get some help. I ordered a new Eyra back in early December. It’s almost April and I still have no estimated delivery from my dealer. Dealer to remain unnamed because I believe they are doing what they can to get some answers from Bass cat, but wanted to reach out here to see if anyone else is suffering from dramatic delays and/or lack of answers about new ordered boats. Thanks in advance.

dstacey, they are not backlogged that long other than some products delaying deliveries. For example, lower volume colors on poles is one, plus a few lower volume trolling motors, and a few others like white engines. We did bump your case to our RSM for Texas, and he is cooperating with your dealership.

Ha, ha, ha… many think so.

Thus we showed the Jaguar STS with 300 Pro XS engines at the 2025 Bassmaster Classic.

8 weeks is very impressive. At work we are still seeing long lead times for items that were never an issue pre-COVID. For example solenoids with 12 week lead times. Lately it’s been a been a pain to even get suppliers to give quotes and when they do the quote is good for 1 day instead of the usual 30 days.

It takes a while to build quality, and Basscat does it right the first time.

Ordered mine in early January and still no delivery date. Keep telling me it’s done and will ship soon but never does.

After placing my deposit in early December I was told likely late January delivery based on recent orders placed placed prior to that. January came and the update was that production wouldn’t start until mid February. Mid February came and I was told my boat was in production along with another Eyra and that was good cause they liked to do them in pairs. That turned out to not be true, cause I was told yesterday that my boat started production 17 days ago. I asked my dealer to provide a hull ID number and was told that’s not possible yet. I may never know the root cause of my delayed boat but I’m still being told it’s in production.

My dealer has seemingly received very few BassCats and when they get em they don’t last long, which gives me very mixed signals on the current state of my order. They claim they are waiting on 10 boats currently. Weird times for sure.

Another issue alot of us are concerned about is the Promotional rebates from Mercury, Bass Cat,etc,All seem to end on March 31st.So that was one of the factors for waiting for promos before we ordered our boat. Now months later we still have not received any confirmation that the Promos will be honored after the ending date.Im sure you have to send Mercury all info off of motor for promo but without boat delivery there is no info on motor.I was told it would be O.K.But will it?

Just received and update from my dealer. They and BassCat are making significant attempts to get this resolved. I appreciate their efforts and hope that the rest of you and those private messages I received are also making progress with clear direction.
