ML and Ulterra MDI

Alright fellas. I'm about to take the plunge and get the Ulterra with MDI and put a ML transducer on the hand control pole. Heres my question. Is it possible to have both of those transducers go to the solix 12 on the bow? I've looked up info about the Ycable but it looks like thats only for 2d and Mega imaging. I'd just really like to avoid getting another unit on the bow. Thoughts, concerns and comments welcome.

Yes both can be connected to a single SOLIX display and both displayed at the same time via split screen. You can display 2D sonar, Down Imaging, and MEGA LIVE on the same screen.

MEGA LIVE is an Ethernet accessory, the Minnkota MDI transducer is a transducer connection. No such thing as a Y cable to connect Ethernet and a transducer port connection.

AHHHHH. So can put the ML into the Ethernet box in the hull? Didn't know that. coool. Well then, that makes it work. Awesome. Theoretically I can see the ML on my console Solix too?

Not only theoretically but actually.
Can see it on networked Heiix units also if the Helix 10 is third or fourth generation MSI or MDI. Can see it on the Helix 7 if it is a G4N MSI or MDI.

Thanks for the info. Really appreciated. I was initially concerned that I would have to choose between getting the ulterra or ML. Id have to pick one. After you said it was an ethernet, that made it all perfect. Thanks man. I dug in and checked it all out. my ethernet box that connects the solix's and my ulterra now is under where my foot pedal is. Ill just have to hook the mega live into that all will be peachy. Rock on.

If you don't have the latest ethernet box, strongly suggest you upgrade it to the latest one. The new box can handle more data at faster speeds and when you attach ML you will be adding a whole bunch more data onto the network.

BTW MEGA LIVE is MEGA Imaging, so is MEGA 360, MEGA Down Imaging, and MEGA Side Imaging.
