I use it for all my balsa flatsides. Great rod that keeps fish pinned well. I would be a little worried about the smaller profile baits. 1/8oz is light and I’m not sure a 4 power is going to be a good choice.
Also my use for the 704cb glass. Love smaller flat sides. But yea I don’t think this rod will throw a traditional Shad rap very well. It will throw the black label “Shad rap” type bait but it also weighs 3/8ozOriginally Posted by King31
Yeah, I have one and would not use it for tiny cranks.
I use mine for Little Johns. I also agree it wouldn’t be good for 1/8oz
I like my Dobyns 804 cb Champion. Throw all my square bills and down to 1/8 oz cranks
Was just throwing 1/4 Money Badger on my 704 yesterday, it was passable but think it would not have been so if the bait was any lighter.
