    Help - Lowrance Setup

    Here’s what I have now:
    Motorguide TM
Lowrance HDS 7 Gen 1 at the bow
Lowrance HDS 10 Gen 1 at the console
NEMA network full length of boat
    Lowrance structure scan

Here is what I have bought:
    Lowrance Ghost TM
Lowrance HDS 7 Carbon for bow, no transducer
Lowrance HDS 12 Live for console, no transducer

    Here is what I want:
Ghost to talk to bow unit for sonar
Bow unit and console to communicate for mapping

What do I need to buy still?
Which transducer for console unit? 3 in 1?
Do I need a new GPS puck for console?
Do I still need structure scan module I have installed in a rod locker?

Thanks for any insight and help!

Your Ghost comes with everything to connect ot your Lives or carbon. Connect both units Bow and consol to ethernet and you will be able to share transducers, waypoints and map card across both units. I would suggest that you Install a Point 1 GPS/Compass in the rear of your boat to end map swinging at slow speed and give you boat orientation on your map. The Ghost connects to NEMA 2000 for control form your units and updates, The HDI transducer that comes with your Ghost will connect to Channel 2 of your bow unit then shared over ethernet to Console or vice versa. You can plug in your SS transducer direct into the Console unit and if you don't have a shoot tru hull transducer for high speed I would put that in that would plug into your HDS unit with the 3-1 or HD SS if that is what you have if you have 3D SS keep that and plug both units into that for full sharing. This will get you going.

Assuming you have a bass boat:
To start you need an ethernet cable between your LIVE and Carbon to share map cards and synchronize waypoints. Move the Live to the Bow for controlling the Ghost on autopilot, and use the Carbon at your console.

    Add a Point-1.

Install a PD-WBL shoot through the hull transducer in your sump for high speed runs.

Oops, just saw Basshopper already replied inbetween when I started this response, took a phone call, and then finished the response (late).

The Gen 1 units cannot be networked to the newer units as this force them into legacy mode limiting their abilities.
