Question Carpet alternative for cockpit area

Who has replaced the carpet in the cockpit with a vinyl/rubber alternative? If so, brand, cost and did you order pre-cut and install yourself? Thanks

Rick, I installed embossed Seadek in my 202 DC last winter. The embossed Storm Gray Seadek came in a 40"x80" sheet. Right now, it is on sale for $150 for the sheet. It was a big job getting the old carpet adhesive off. I made a template out of felt paper and then cut the sheet. I made some mistakes installing it which resulted in a couple tears in the sheet where the center isle transitions into the cockpit and passenger side. The sheeting tears easily. Also, the length of the sheet was not long enough to make it to the front of the isle. I had to lay a piece in that resulted in a seam. Seadek does not recommend any seams due to shrinkage. It did shrink a little and I had to fill the seam in with a little gray caulk. I like the Seadek but not the color. Storm Gray is light gray and it shows shoe scuffs that are difficult/impossible to remove. I like the Seadek when it rains. Carpeting is much easier to DIY and much more forgiving. Best wishes!

Another vote for Aquatraction from Golden's Boat Carpeting and More. I ended up going back with carpet when he recarpeted my 210. I did have him replace the rubber mat under the driver console and the bow pad with Aquatraction. The whole cockpit floor would have been another $500

Another Aquatraction vote. I had it done to my console floor area. You can have a custom logo made. It has held up well. I suggest going with a darker color.

If you don’t mind, can I ask what you paid?

Rick, guessing it would have been a little north of $500 since that was what he quoted me to do the entire cockpit floor. I elected just under the driver console since it came with black rubber mat from the factory. The invoice wasn't itemized. I also had the bow pad and the rod ram by the passenger seat done in Aquatraction if you checked out the pix at the link I posted above.
