Lower unit mtce

One problem I keep hearing about when doing lower unit mtce, is that people have a hard time lining up the splines in the drive shaft. Here's an easy fix

Mark the drive shaft and upper water pump housing with a wax pen. Do the mtce, and when you're done line the 2 marks back up and the lower will slide all the way in!

Duh, I never have thought of marking it. Thanks for the tip, it could save me a bunch of time come Spring!

I always leave it in gear and turn the prop shaft to align the splines easy peasy.
