Just bought this touch unit without module or transducer and want to be sure I get the right ones for it . Will a older SS module (black box) work with it or does it have to be a Gen2 ? Also is the XDCR SS HD transducer the same as the Lss-2 ? Will they interchange ? Thanks for your help .

Either module will work and that is the correct transducer

If i remember correctly, the gen 2 touch did not need a structure scan module. If you use the ss transducer, you will need a 2d transducer also. Good If my memory is not correct I have a LSS module for sale.

Ok if I wanted to add 2D sonar what transducer would work and what would be the correct way to hook it up ? I already have a Humminbird Piranha Di on my trolling motor so can't mount it there .
I was just answering the question. Either module would work but of course with a Touch unit, there is no need for a module

PD-WBL will work as long as you're not putting on aluminum boat.

My boat is aluminum . I have a Lowe 16-48 .
For an aluminum boat you will want a Skimmer transducer to mount on the stern next to the StructureScan transducer. The correct part is a 7 pin HST-WBL. FYI, HST stand for High Speed w/Temp. PD-WBL, is a Pod type for mounting in the bilge and shooting through the fiberglass.

I have the BOX used to make the LSS2 sidescan work. Can sell to you cheap as I am not using.
Since upgraded and box not being used.
It is a touch unit so no box is needed . But thanks .
