HDS Gen 3 with Cmap Reveal

I like alot of the features on this card but does anyone know a way to reduce the number of contour lines? Many of my lakes here in Ca are steep and deep and i have to zoom waaay in to make out the contours and see past the clutter of the depth numbers. My navionics card is much easier to see whats going on.

    Thanks

Yes hi-res bathy is turned on. Turning it off gets rid of the contour lines completely. Here are some pics of my screen at different zoom levels. Its nearly unusable. Ive searched the settings and cant find anyway to fix this.

For the record, my unit has the most recent update installed and so does the map card.

What you are seeing is the nature of maps. When you deal with verticle steep canyon lakes this is what you get. Zooming in will separate the lines some, If you have depth ranges that you only want to look at. I would set depth shading to those ranges to help with picking out said ranges. Most people complain they don't have enough detail or contour lines. You can turn off contours lines also in the unit menu. HRB usually adds the 1 ft contours so you can turn off and one as needed.
