    Shimano Miravel vs Ultegra

Has anybody had on the water experience with the new Miravel? Need to get a new reel for my sister, not trying to break the bank.

I’ve had 10 days of fishing experience with my Miravel. Performance and quality blows away any other similar priced competition. Will be adding a few more to replace a few of my Nasci’s before long.

I don't have any fishing time in with them yet but I put line on the 4 Miravel C3000's I bought over winter yesterday and man are they nice. I watched the JP DeRose reviews where he compared the benefits of the Miravel vs. the Nasci which swayed my decision. The Miravel's are unbelievably smooth and feel great in hand. I have a last gen Nasci I fished for a couple of years and there is no comparison. The new Nasci's might be better but I'm really impressed with what I bought. Now compared to the Ultrega, I can't say for sure but I can't imagine what you could be gaining with one.
