    Oxidation Fix Help

I have some oxidation on my 05 Z21 Ranger that I would like to get off and was looking for some advice. I have attached a pic. Is this something i just need a light buffing for with an oxidation remover compound and then wax over it?

If you are talking about the white stuff, it looks like just hard water stains to me.

yes I am referencing the white. It is not hard water stains(or if it is I've never seen any like it before). I have hand cleaned with water spot remover, soap, polish, light oxidation remover and nothing has taken it off yet.

Try StarBrite hull cleaner. Sell it at Walmart in the boat items area for around $10. Follow the directions and plan to polish/wax after.

Had a boat in the shop last year that looked like that… Centurion ski boat. The sides were flake and basically the gelcoat had so much porosity that he left it in the water off and on and it finally discolored like your pic… i’m not saying this is your problem buttttt. He did not want to fix it correctly so I just took it off the trailer sanded it several rounds and burned it in. It looked ok but the clear was discolored a bit and of course the porosity remained.

The boat was left in the water at some point from the previous owner. Sounds like the exact same thing. hmmmmmm.
