The family is about to burst with excitement over getting to come visit our (hopefully) soon to be new home! I just booked the hotel room for our stay. We will be staying at the Country Inn and Suites in Lebanon for our stay. Looked like a decent area and the price was decent.
Here is what I'm hoping you guys and gals can do for the wife and I....
If you can just post or IM some places and areas to visit to get a good "feel" for the area that would be great. We want to figure out where things like the good neighborhoods are. We would also like to know where "not" to venture into.
Our research online and some quick trips through the area several years back have pushed us to look at the Mt. Juliet/Lebanon area. It has easy access to the interstate, is within and decent drive of Nashville for possible work and (from what I can tell) is a decent place to live. We will have the GPS and only need an address or street and we will find it.
If you really want to help us out, point us in the direction of job searches in the area. My wife will be looking in the business/financial world for a job. She has about 6 years of experience in finance so please let us know of any leads.
I will be looking into corrections/law enforcement but if I have to I will fall back on my construction and warehouse experience. I've got 2 years experience in corrections and will graduate with my criminal justice degree in August.
The key to us moving to the area will be having my wife or I working and making at least $40k year. Doesn't seem like too much of a stretch for her but may be for me.
Thanks for any tips you can give us. Don't worry either, we are not a bunch of Yankees coming down.....we are from the heart of the south, Va!![]()
Oh yeah, almost forgot, we will be there May 26-29th!
