Lithium battery s and 200hp SHO

Can someone give me an idea if my alternator.will work correctly if I install lithium batteries? Also do I really need a battery monitoring system.like boss.or power pole charge?.

Same electrical generation system as used on the VF225 and VF250 SHO models. Many SHO owners seem to be running with Lithium cranking batteries and/or deep cycle Li batteries with no problems.

The Ionic brand for one has a BMS built in. Not sure why any additional equipment would be needed.

Full Ionic setup on 2014 Yam SHO 250 works awesome.

The IONIC App is freaking great. I simply walked by my boat on the boat dock lift with my iPhone and saw all 4 batteries status!

Place your order and be done with it.

Yamaha doesn't "approve" of using a Lithium starting battery.

Correct. But approval by Yamaha is not required.
