    Aluminum Tracker "Dry" Storage Compartments

We are looking at newer used aluminum tracker boats and are being told that the first of the newer styles do not have water tight storage compartments. In other words, the lids allow water into the compartments. Is this true? If so what year did they start building the storage compartments water tight?

I have a 2020 Tracker PT 175TXW and main storage area on front deck as well as 2 rod lockers stay dry.
There are 2 storage bins on rear deck that can hold 3 3700 series tackle boxes that do not stay dry but they do have drain holes.
The storage under middle seat is not all that water tight but I do not keep much in there minus a 1st aide kit that is in its own water tight case, an air horn, and some other misc items that I keep in a water tight tupperware type container

You can see there is weather stripping around the rod locker as well as main storage area..

My 2017 PT190 is much like MikeCSr's boat. Each of the main compartments have fairly tight weatherseals and also drain holes with plastic piping routing water from the hatch channels into the bilge so they stay very dry. Under the passenger seat and middle seat can get wet.

I agree with these post for my 2013 PT175TXW. I bought mine in 2014. In the front storage compartments there is a drain hose. The lip around the lid should catch water that has gotten on the deck from most reasons. But when I bought my boat I noticed the hoses were not connected as best they could be. All I did was push them on the connector all the way and I did add a tye wrap instead of a hose clamp for what it's worth. Also I took air compressor line and give them a shot of air make sure those drain lines are clear. So far no problems the front compartments stay dry.

175txw no problem with water on the deck I have a problem with condensation inside the box I have to prop open the box lids while covered otherwise it's a rain forest inside.

When I picked up my boat in January, the storage under the passenger seat was soaked. Tried putting a heater in it to dry. After several days of still being wet, I bought a container of Damp Rid and it took the moisture out in 1 day.
