    520 Hull through the years....?

I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row on how the 520 Hull has changed through the years, as far as fishability and most important, the ride. I had a 04 521vx and loved that hull but hated the interior, all the faux wood and black vinyl was just outdated. I'm now looking at getting into another used ranger but want something newer. Is the 11-16 year model the same? or how are they different between eachother. Thanks guys!

2011 through 2016 is almost, if not exactly, the same hull. Very minor differences in the top cap.

I would go with a Z520c boat which were introduced in 2013. It's a better overall layout than the earlier Z520's (2008 through 2012). Hulls are about the same between them. The older 520VX's are a strong rough water boat but are narrower up front and only have a 225 hp rating.

I agree with this^^^. My 2012 Z520 was a great boat but I like the 520C layout much better. So far, I think the 520C is a drier ride also and less likely to take a roller over the bow when on the TM.

Agreed on the C layout. As far as rough water ride how does the z compare to the VX?
