Any of you guys out on Big Stone this last weekend? I was out crappie/walleye fishing but saw a few bass boat around.

I was last weekend
What was the surface temp and how was the bite?
Got out there April 12th and the water temp at 3pm was about 48 degrees, by the time we left on the 14th it was 52-54 in the shallows. Walleye bite was not on for us but we did get into a mess of crappies. White bass bite was really on, never even saw a largemouth but then again we weren't really fishing for them.
That lake has to be the most overrated lake for walleyes in the state. It's got some decent crappies when you can find them.
They beat the hell out of it for sure! I caught a 8# walleye on a swim jig last fall.

Traverse is much better, when the water is dirty. If it's clear, it can be pretty tough. But, there's way more walleyes in Traverse, and LQP, than Big Stone.
Look at some of the tournament results for Big Stone, it's laughable! Entire 40 boat fields catch what would be a good day on Mille Lacs for 2 guys.
