    OX66 gremlin

I made a post last week about the LP Pumps, changed them, still had a problem. Got mad, came home cleaned VST, checked o2 sensor and sure enough the barbel was clogged solid with carbon. Cleaned all that, replaced the 02 sensor with another one I had already cleaned. Went down the road to the river, ran better but still a little rpm drop off. Came home read every ox66 gremlin thread on the internet and one of them paid off! Turn your attention to #15, that little screen had a solid gel like coating on it! Cleaned it, ran the boat, everything runs like it should!!

Just thought I'd pass this info on in case anyone else is chasing a gremlin!

Now that you mention it, I did have a lean sneeze at idle before and didn't notice it Saturday after getting everything clean. Of course I would contribute the lean sneeze to the o2 barbell being completely clogged with carbon. I had to use a drill bit to clean it out

I did kind of rig it though The local boat shop didn't have a vst tank seal, so I snipped about a 1/4" in the loop of the used one, superglued it together, then put a dab of gasket maker on the seal! Hey it worked! I also put a small dabs of the gasket maker on other parts of the seal to hold it on, last time I pulled the VST I had hell getting it back on even with a new seal, it pops out and gets aggravating! I will do this every time now! Made it very easy to reassemble

I ran it with sea foam and after 6 years and about 900 hrs it blew because of ethanol, but the engine was spotless inside absolutely zero carbon.
