Peoria or i should say east Peoria is supposedly getting a BASS PRO SHOPS!I need a part time job! I got a email today from a friend, who got it from a friend saying there are bids being taking for a 100,000 sq. ft. store!

It was in our local paper last year. BPS was scouting different cities and settled on Peoria. Rumor is true.
BPS has had Execs out at least 3 times now scouting the area etc. I'm sure it will happen but who knows when.

This sounds like a good rumor to pray for ...lol.... Granted this means I will need to pick up one, two, or possiblely three more part time jobs than the full time job I already have... ugh lol .

if you guys know the e. peoria area, the spot they are talkn about building it is on the right side of the 74 bridge if you are goin north into peo.. if and when they get it up the area will be a cluster f--- come holiday time! that area is conjested all the time!

It is, but it read in the newspaper article that they were going to put more roads in and around it to ease the traffic.
Figures, I get a job out of state with very little Bass (Utah) and they finally bring a BPS within reach, instead of burning a whole day to get to Chicago or STL.
That would be great...there is also a Scheel's Sporting Goods to be opened July 2011 outside of Springfield. Never been to one but it is supposed to be huge.
still rumor as of now...would be great if we could get an Academy or BPS this way !
