    Which I7 laptop

Between Dell and HP. Both with 256 SSD and 8 gb ram, which would you buy?
Both are Costco on sale units.

All my laptops have been 17 inch.
Toshiba—- put out a lot of heat, self destruct
Dell had 2 of them, longevity for me was the problem, about 3 years each
HP—- had this one for 6 years, replaced the fan in it 2 months ago, only problem

    DELL!!!!

Never will buy anything HP again. Their service is terrible, the parts they use are junk, and they are very strict on how you can upgrade anything. They use a lot of proprietary items so you're locked into their goods. Where as Dell, you can use stuff right off the shelf, of course if the drivers are compatible with your OS.
Been fishin' since I was 5 years old...Thanks Grandpa!

What models? Makes a big difference in quality for the manufactures between the different lines. I've had good luck with Dell and HP. I have an HP EliteBook that my work provided that is awesome, fast, thin and light.

A mistake on your part does not constitute a emergency on my part.

Yep, especially with HP. Drastic difference if its not one of their big box store cheapo model.

The Dell That is at Costco is a good deal for what its got in it . The XPS 13 is small power house .I have never owned any thing but Dell so I cannot comment on the others. But it all depends on what you want or going to use it for.

Dell between the two. HP service sucks.
And I agree with jml. Acer is more feature packed for the same money.
Personally, I wouldn’t own anything but a MacBook Pro.

probably the same guts from the same sweat shop inside their custom hp and dell cases. in other words potato, Pot-a-toe. unless your building a custom rig their all basically the same computers anyway, literally, just the cases differ.
