Never had a problem with mine
Never had an issue at all with any of my spare tires, always flew well for me.
No complaint with the J hook mount on my trailer. One day I realized I needed a deep socket to get the nut off and only had regular sockets in my truck toolbox. Bought a deep socket set for the truck as the ones in my garage would not be of any value unless I got a flat trailer tire in my driveway!![]()

No problems with mine
The J bolt was wasn't square to tire so you couldn't get the socket on the nut. Must've bounced from riding on the road and the nut was so tight there was no moving it. Had to be cut with a hack saw to get off of trailer. Was looking to prevent it from happening again.
No problem with either of mine on two different Tritons. When you install your nut you might want to put some anti seize on the threads. I keep my boats inside which also helps issues such as yours.
Guess I'm not explaining my little situation rightno harm no foul thanks guys
Let a little air out of the tire and you can move the tire then turn the nut off. If the bolt isn't tightened enough when you put it on the trailer bracket it can slid down and turn causing the nut to bind
