I fish Blackshear a couple of times a month. Its a hard lake to fish and not one of the more popular falling behind Seminole and Eufaula. Theres a few tourneys there almost every weekend during season of some sort, bags usually weigh in between 15 and 18 lbs.
I fished it 11/07 and stayed at the State facility, rooms were regal and food on site was fantastic. Fishing left a bit to be desired but I liked the lake layout, especially the upper end in the shallows and grass. Lost about a 8# on a frog on the grass. Would I go back......in a heart beat.
