    What a day on Lanier!

Finally got out on the water today. Been awhile. I fished with a couple of friends I dont get to fish with too often. We put in a full day to say the least. On the water just after daylight and fished till about 7:45 tonight. Long story short......... for numbers it was great. Over 50 fish. But only about 1/2 of them keepers and no big fish at all. Biggest ones was only about 2 1/2 pounds. We had about 1/2 dozen squeakers, and a bunch of "just short" fish. But they were all fat and feisty. I aint complaining! Threw several baits at them, but the old spotsticker and green pumpkin took them all. I had one strike on a jerkbait and that was it. Started out above Browns Bridge and fished all the way down near the dam. Had a blast......... fish were pretty much everywhere.

Sounds like a fun day Pappy!! I haven't been fun fishing in a while. Next weekend will be my 1st fun trip in a long while. Me and some friends are heading to North Fl for a little bit of fishing in the pits!! I've been told its like going to Mexico without the danger and a whole lot less expensive!!
