    Are they

"running water out of Ockee or has the north end of the state drain out? I see it's holding right at about 13'9"

    Re: Are they (flwillie)

Looks like they drained the extra water and the lakes at the north are holding at full pool.

Some have a little more water to drain, looks like the smaller ones though.

Was hoping Okeechobee got more water.
We need rain around here bad, the concrete ramps are coming out of the water at some of the pits in Lakeland.

You can see in that picture the end of ramp sign just below the concrete ramp is out of water.

Okeechobee is plenty high. Any higher is bad for the lake and it's grass beds. The drought's have helped restore the lake. Anything over 14' is unnecessary and bad for the lake IMHO. Too bad they can't pump some water up north, you guys need it more than we do.

Can I get from the Harney Pond ramp through the Monkey Box into Moonshine Bay without any problem at the current level?

Thanks for the info, thinking about trying it Thursday. Have to see what the front is going to do and make up our minds. Just want to get down there before the water starts going back down.

I believe what perfect storm said is very true.
There is plenty of water to get back there but don't think you can because of all the build up of weeds and such. If you do go let me know how you got there

    Re: Are they (fishin fever)

I think with the front coming down Thursday we're just going to fish around the Kissimmee River and the North end of the lake. Who knows, keep going back and forth in my head on what to do.

Exactly what Donny said. There is enough water, but its running through all the hydrilla in the M Box that is frustrating. I've over heated a couple of times while running boat trails, let alone off of them

    Re: Are they (flwillie)

We went and there's a good amount of water still dumping into the north end of the lake. Kissimmee river has current and it's strong by the locks. The front didn't come in the way the news was saying, so needless to say the weren't feeding up while we were there. Caught bass and missed a few, nothing of any size though.

When we drove over the bridge at the south end of Kissimmee, you could see the water swirling from the current dumping into the river.

Yep they are still pulling at Kissimmee but they have slowed it WAY down from what it was.
