L-67a, tamiami trail?

Has anyone fished the canals out west on tamiami trail? Past or present? I was out this weekend at everglades national park with the family at shark valley for the 15mile bike ride, and we drove parallel to canals(L-29) ...

That also connect into 3a converstaion area, this is the furtherst south portion of the 3a area, look like a large canal runs north south..L-67a L-67c...

That is my home turf, the N/S canal at the bend is L67, you cannot see the little L from the Trail, you have to access it down the dirt road along the Levee. Most of the ramps along the trail now are impossible to launch from, some of them are airboat only even when the water is high. The ramp at the L is way out of the water but the canal bottom is fairly level past the ramp right now.

I took Barb's grandsons out to Holiday Park yesterday, ran down to the weir. No water moving, so the bite was slow. Just drifted down to each cut, and the kids had a ball, lots of misses, but several fish landed. I went out last week and ran to the Alley, caught 25 fish flipping the pads in about 3 hrs. all about 2-3 lbs.
