    John's Lake ?????

Our club is considering adding John's Lake to our 2011 trail. Any feedback regarding this lake.

    1) Can the ramp handle a 20 boat tournament ?

    2) Is there adquate parking for truck and trailers ?

    3) Is there parking for your boat once in the water ?

    4) Main structure/cover of the lake ?

    5) Quaility of fishing ?

    Re: John's Lake ????? (Bollee)

    1) Can the ramp handle a 20 boat tournament ?
    A) Yes

    2) Is there adquate parking for truck and trailers ?
    A) Yes. There is roughly a 10 spots or so at the ramp and a dirt lot across the street.

    3) Is there parking for your boat once in the water ?
    A) Limited (10 or so on shore)

    4) Main structure/cover of the lake ?
    A) Grass

    5) Quaility of fishing ?
    A) Like any Florida lake, it can be great, or it can be very tough. I like fishing there.

One other thing to be aware of is a lot of clubs fish that place, so you could be challenged with 2 or more tournaments at a time.

20 boats plus local traffic the place could become a nightmare. Very nice lake to fish.

I agree with this statement, Ive fished johns lake many times its a great lake and has some big fish...

the boat ramp is not the largest or the best with heavy traffic..but its doable...but johns lake is large enough for a 20 boat field and local guys IMO..you just will be spread out..

I have personally caught 1 over 10 lbs, several 5 lbers, seen a 14 lber caught on a shiner. Seen good 5 fish limits around 22-28 lbs. I know several clubs that fish with 40 boats.
