    Kissimmee Chain

Theoretically, if the canals were nice and full, is Tohopekaliga the furthest north one can go on the Kissimmee Chain?

From Google maps, looks like one can go from Tohopekaliga all the way down to Okeechobee (assuming canals are passable). How far/long is the run from the southern end of Kissimmee to Okeechobee?

That is correct. The next lake in the chain is East Lake Toho by canal and it is blocked by a water (flooding) control lock. There is no mechanism to lock boats from East Lake Toho to Lake (West) Toho.

    Re: Kissimmee Chain (B-47)

If you wanna know the truth, I didn't even see the cana from Toho to East Toho...water control block, or not.

Guess I got lucky on that one.

Any idea on how far the trip down Kissimmee River to Okeechobee is?

It takes about 4 hrs. to get near Big O by veh. avg. 75+ on the Turdpike, so it is probably 15-20 min. by boat These guys will know, they know everything. Before I got here I was reading at a 4th grade level, now look at me

Can't speak to your reading ability, but it looks like you're slightly above the 4th grade level on writing.
