You are required to display a flag if you fish the flats areas of certain wildlife management areas i.e. holiday park, sawgrass, florida everglades. The flag must be 10 ft above your vessel ( i think). This is so that you can be seen by other boats and airboaters when running throught the sawgrass trails... I just want to see if anyone has any good tricks on how they mount their flag..

I use a 11' fiberglass telescopic cane pole. (fits in the right side rod locker). Duct tape it to a seat post and put on the rear deck. I run wide open no problem, it won't go no where. If someone is fishing with me just lean it in the console area while fishing.

    Re: Flats Flag (perfect-storm)

I just stick mine behind my driver seat, but I use a longer pole.
The flagheight must measure over 10ft high
But I like the duct tape to the seat post, I may try that
