Is that a normal amount of carbon build up for a di spark plug because mine look the same and i was concerned that that may be excessive
I have an '03 225 HO and my plugs look like that when I change them. I live in Michigan and have about a 5 to 6 month season and change mine at the beginning of the season and sometime in the middle of the season. I use the XD-50 oil which is supposed to have a carbon guard in it, but I am also using a little of the Evinrude carbon stuff as well and haven't noticed much difference in the carbon build up. Just my 2 cents.
As long as you can see the white dot on the ground anode that is a good plug and can be regapped and used. If you can't see that white dot throw it away!
