It's not available for purchase online.

Where are you seeing it available?

Called Garmin and the 2019.0 version is the lake vue g3 map. I downloaded this to both my Echomap 93sv plus today and it worked flawlessly. I also updated the software to the 7.5 version through the active captain app with no promblems. You can check this on the settings tab after downloading. Mine says the software is the 7.50 version and my supplemental map is the 2019.0 lake vue g3 hd map. Hope this helps.

Do you have to leave the SD card in there? Or is it updated to the unit's memory?

Yes. You download the update to the sd card. The card has to stay in the unit to use the new map.

Well I tried. I was on the phone with Garmin support for two hrs. It showed available for purchase, so i called and asked CS what I needed to do. I bought it, clicked on the blocks I wanted and it appeared to be downloading but wasnt. So they reset my account and we tried again, still wouldn’t work. He talked to the software guys and they are having some issues with it. He’s gonna call me back int eh morning as he said they told him they would fix it tonight. We shall see.

Which one did you download? They told me to download the Bluechart+ LakeVu HD, 2019 edition.

How much is it? I thought we were getting it for free?

I need the blue charts too but wasn't planning on spending $200 right now. I was told we would get the navionics upgrade for free.

Are you guys updating through Active Captain or do you have download upgrades from Garmin directly to the SD card?

I just bought 4 units that are on sale at BPS, will they charge me to update to G3 mapping & do i need to buy SD cards for all units that will run mapping, or will they share when networked. Looking forward to the new G3!

Your first map update within the first year of ownership should be free. If you want the Ultra mapping that will cost you.

As far as having to leave the card in I believe you will.

I updated via Garmin Express to an SD card. My understanding based on my units manual that lake map updates are to big to transfer via Active Captain. The card must stay in the unit to run the new mapping. I did update my software to the 7.5 version using the AC App. The only issue I’m having now is on the AC app it won’t load my maps to my mobile device so I can prep lab and transfer waypoints from my phone to my graphs.

Also I’d like to know if anyone notices a big difference between the maps. I don’t have any experience with either. I just downloaded the new map and from what I can tell here at the house they look similar. Thanks

Thanks guys, anyone have a good link for a cheap sd card? I will purchase 2 to run mapping at bow and console. Is it standard size or micro?
